The Lagos State Police Command has detained two Fulani herdsmen, Mohammed Umar and Manu Hassan, for allegedly robbing motorists on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Pope Francis Has Officially Endorsed Evolution And The Big Bang Theory

Pope Francis has continued to turn heads as the most liberal pope in decades by declaring that “the Catholic Church sees no conflict between science and religion” and stating that he accepts the universe was created in a Big Bang rather than what is detailed in the Book of Genesis.
While he is not the first pope to side with science over certain issues, he is certainly the first to state outright that humans may be descended from other species, marking a significant change to the stance of the Catholic Church.

Boko Haram: Over 20 Specialized Bomb Detective Dogs Deployed To North East

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, has disclosed that over 20 dogs, specially trained on explosives detection, search and rescue operations and other areas in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency have so far been deployed in various operational theatres in the North East.

Minimah made this disclosure Wednesday when he commissioned a newly constructed block of Kernels for War Dogs at the Army Headquarters Provost Dog Platoon, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja.

O Ohwo of Delta State High Court, Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, convicted and sentenced Pastor Glory Okeoghene Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogu to seven (7) years imprisonment each for stealing depositors' fundsamounting to N32million ( Thirty- Two Million Naira only).

Niger-Delta Amnesty Fueled Boko Haram - Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has blamed the Boko Haram insurgency ravaging some parts of northern Nigeria on the Niger Delta amnesty programme, even as he described the programme as a failure.

The ex-president also stated that President Goodluck Jonathan administration’s approach to curbing the activities of the Niger Delta militants “had taken the form of throwing money at the problem, particularly stuffing the pockets and bank of the militants’ leadership with obscene cash in reckless and unsustainable manner”.
These views were expressed by Mr. Obasanjo in his controversial autobiography, My Watch, a three-volume memoir, which was launched in Lagos Tuesday.
